Time travel now has a street address at 849 East Commerce Street in San Antonio. Inside the Fever Immersive Center, a VR headset is the only ticket you need to slip out of your own timeline and into an alternate reality.
Visitors can choose from three destinations: journey into deep space with Smithsonian Starstruck, walk the Andes centuries ago with Machu Picchu: Journey to the Lost City, or board the Titanic in 1912 before descending to its wreck with Titanic: A Voyage Through Time. Which one calls to you first?
Smithsonian Starstruck: An Immersive Experience
Developed in collaboration with the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Smithsonian Starstruck turns real astronomical data and imagery into an expedition through the cosmos.
The fully interactive VR journey begins at the Smithsonian’s Whipple Observatory before sending visitors out into deep space. From there, you will listen to the sun’s actual vibrations, explore an exoplanet where volcanic activity forms diamonds beneath the surface, observe a supernova, and much more. Machu Picchu: Journey to the Lost City
Machu Picchu: Journey to the Lost City brings one of the world’s most storied archaeological sites into immersive virtual reality. The experience was built by a team of over 50 engineers and 3D modeling specialists using rare pandemic-era access to the site itself, plus expert guidance from Inca historians.
The result is a faithful recreation of the citadel, from the mountainside terraces to the sweeping Andean vistas. Visitors can move freely as they are guided through the ruins by TERI, a character voiced by Terry Crews.

Titanic: A Voyage Through Time
Titanic: A Voyage Through Time offers a two-part virtual reality journey that spans the ship’s brief life and its resting place on the ocean floor. Visitors first walk the decks and grand staircase of the RMS Titanic as it was in 1912, then dive to the depths of the Atlantic to explore the wreck.
It’s a carefully constructed experience that lets the history carry its own weight, without losing the sense of wonder that draws people to immersive experiences in the first place.
